Night 2....

Here is the girls Play  it is about 10 min. so make sure you have time to watch it!!!!

Our Heros..... Judah Maccabee and his wife 

as you can watch on the video it was a great SHOW and they did a great job!!!! It was more silliness that telling the story  but that is ok it was still great and they had a lot of fun with it and we enjoyed watching it. 

we of course Had Latkahs..... YUMMY!!!!

Abby got to be the first one to put up the Candle and flame on the NEW WALL HANGING...... SHE THOUGHT IT WAS GREAT!!!

Tyna was the first to light the Chanukkaih 

We read the story of the Maccabees and Judith..... ( kid versions)

we even had time for a little bit of  Dreidl

Sh'ma got in to the action a bit.......

we even took sometime to watch a Chanukkah movie

 

 

Scripture: 

Lev 2:13  And every offering of your grain offering you shall season with salt; you shall not allow the salt of the covenant of your God to be lacking from your grain offering. With all your offerings you shall offer salt.

Num 18:19  "All the heave offerings of the holy things, which the children of Israel offer to the LORD, I have given to you and your sons and daughters with you as an ordinance forever; it is a covenant of salt forever before the LORD with you and your descendants with you." 

Psa 119:105  Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path. 

Pro 6:23  For the commandment is a lamp, And the law a light; Reproofs of instruction are the way of life, 

Mat 5:13-16  "You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.  (14)  "You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.  (15)  Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.  (16)  Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

Joh 12:32-36  And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself."  (33)  This He said, signifying by what death He would die.  (34)  The people answered Him, "We have heard from the law that the Christ remains forever; and how can You say, 'The Son of Man must be lifted up'? Who is this Son of Man?"  (35)  Then Jesus said to them, "A little while longer the light is with you. Walk while you have the light, lest darkness overtake you; he who walks in darkness does not know where he is going.  (36)  While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may become sons of light." These things Jesus spoke, and departed, and was hidden from them.

Col 4:6  Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.
