Devin's Birthday

Well this weekend we got out of town a much needed break after  the disapointment of last week. Joe did not get the job. It is a let down of course but nothing is by chance and God is in control. anyways  lets move on to cuter things.......
our nephew is now 3. acording to him though he turned four, OH my how time flys!!! Especially if we have to skip a year ( wink)  we were so blessed to be able to go to Prescott this past weekend to celebrate 2 wonderful birthdays ( post tomorrow on the second.) It was so nice getting to spend time with family and share in this wonderful day.  Devin is our first and only nephew so we feel it is so important to spend as much time as we can with him.  not to mention he is just too cute. ( I think I already mentioned that!!) 

Devin's birthday was SPIDER MAN!!!! Ryan and Kari did a great job on the decorations and food!!! 

Kari made the Cake pops for all the kids are they not cute? and good the kids loved them.

As Always Devin got a ton of stuff!!! We oppeded for clothes this year as our present so that went over like this.....

Yeah!!  Oh well wasn't expecting him to oo and ahhh... Clothes are more presents for Mom and Dad anyways gives them the joy of being the cool one who gets the cool presents. 

Devin was not into letting me take any pics so this was the closest I got of a good picture.

Roberts family KIDS...... well most of them!! we are missing one of the Great Grandkids but still thought since they were all in the same place we would get a picture.

Tyna's birthday and what happened this weekend

So many blessings on Tyna's birthday!!!! First off how cool is it that our sweet girl is now ELEVEN and on the day she turned 11  it was on 11-11-11!!! she had a wonderful weekend she got some amazing presents THANK YOU everyone who sent cards, facebooked messages and gave her presents it was so appreciated and she loved them all.

She also had a complete stranger giver her a set of Nancy Drew: Girl detective books!!! wow just so cool for her!!! she felt very loved

also what made Tyna's birthday such an answer to prayer is Joe got his ELK!!!! He Shot her on Friday Gutted, bled her out all before sundown on Friday and we processed her Late saturday. we were so blessed to get it all done in 4 hours. GREAT timing.  all the meat is now in my freezer waiting to be ate!!!!!  we ended up with 92 packages of meat  which is over 100 lbs of meat!! this will be a great thing for our family for the year!!! PRAISE YAH FOR HIS BLESSINGS!!!

In other news:

On friday night Jackie came down with this CRUD that has been going around starts with a sore throat and for Jackie also comes with a cough.  So we get to take Dinatab, Robatussin and Vicks vapor rub, along with drinking Vitamin C  ( 2times a day) she is not liking that but she is a good sick girl she takes it with out complaint cause the meds are making her feel better. we will see how good she is when she is better. Since Friday she is about the same, POOR BABY it is just so sad to watch her. She wanted to help with the Elk but we said "NO" she wanted to eat what we were eating for dinner but I was afraid with the drainage that she couldn't handle that so she has had chicken soup and raman noodles all weekend. 

 

Garage sale FIND!!

YAY for Garage sale I normally do not find much at garage sales nor do I go to that many but we drove by this one on the way to Joe's parents house and we found these...... YAY!!!! I have been looking to get clue for awhile but it seems to be the game that always wants to be 20 dollars or more. I wasn't sure how much the kids would like it so I didn't want to pay that much but we paid $2.00 each for these games of clue!! Why did I buy 2? cause I wasn't sure if they were missing pieces and I figured between the 2 it should be  a complete set. but to my surprise both were perfect shape with all the pieces and instructions so I will be putting  one up for when my girls loose the pieces ;)

SHABBAT:

we had a blessed shabbat,  the Torah portion this shabbat was Vayera which means 

וירא | “He appeared”

it is for those of you who don't know the story of Abraham and Sarah and the three guests, the story of Sodom and Gomorrah and the birth and Almost sacrifice of Issac.  we read the torah portion and we midrashed ( talked and studied) the portion then we had lunch  which this week went right along with the Torah portion 

Unleaven bread ( barley cause the girls love Barley Matzah) Meat ( Elk  stew meat cooked in the slow cooker overnight) and Curds ( or cottage cheese). The girls thought it was fun to have what was served to the guests and it made the story come more alive to them.    

Thankful Days: 8-13

day of being thankful day 8 and 9: Yesterday the girls said that they were thankful for me and I wasn't allowed to argue with them.

Day 9: I am grateful for my friend Rae who will call me up on grocery shopping day and ask if I want to go with her so I can save money on gas and then takes us out for Lunch

Day 10 of being thankful: I am so blessed with this family, I am so thankful for a wonderful evening with my girls and husband with Dinner, Hockey and hot coco!!!!

Thankful day 11: So thankful for an 11 year old who has blessed my life in so many ways I can't even count them all....... Today on her 11th birthday I praise YHVH for all the blessing he has bestowed on me as a mother and PRAY that HE always blesses My Christyna Mae 11-11-11 ( how cool is that?)

 

Day 12 of being thankful: I am so thankful to be a member of the Robert's family. It is such a wonderful feeling to know that even though you are not blood you are loved and accepted. and today of all days this family remembers the wonderful woman who would have been 101 today, I remember bringing a small and special gift to her on her 90th birthday ......

Day 13 of being thankful: I am thankful for Schnoebelen and the Boyd family. they are my rock and I love them all so dearly. I am so blessed to have such an amazing family. Each of them so wonderfully talented, wonderful parents, and great people. I am so blessed to have been born into such a family!!!! I love you all thanks for always being there!!! ♥ ♥ ♥

Abby is now SIX!!!

Oh my I can't believe that it has been six years since we were blessed with our little monkey Abby. she has brought so much joy it is hard to imagine our lives with out her.  SHe came to us all pink and oh so tiny, I remember thinking I would break her she was so delicate, not so much any more. Our Quite delicate baby has blossomed and grown into a vivacious, spirited young lady. she is not lady like but loves girlie things, she is always loving and always too busy for her own good and always knows her own mind. She is not like any of the other girls nor does she want to be like anyone else but herself. I am so blessed to have her and so proud of the young lady she is becoming.

as you know we aren't doing any more parties for the girls, but we still like to make it special. she woke up to the dinning room looking like this this morning.

 the doll Abby named Alyssa  SHe is the Rapunzel doll from Tangled and was a present from Nana and Papa Boyd. SHe LOVED her and wanted her so much.

she picked them out and also picked out some Tangled shoes and Red sparkle shoes.

  we got her this little doll, Manly because of the name of the doll plus the monkey and she is wearing green. Abby saw her and wanted her really bad. we have been searching for the this doll for months I was so happy to find it at Cracker barrel of all places. 

we also got her the monkey mask, necklace, a picture frame that you have to color (monkey), I made the 2 skirts, a headcovering and got her 2 shirts that match the skirts. she also has some stuff we ordered but it not here yet so we will have to post that when it come in.

Wonderful day for my girl. she was so happy all day. which made mom and dad happy as well.

Little house on the prairie party

although there were multiple hiccups along the way of this party, and some heart aches as well early in to the party planning, the party went of well and the kids had a blast. all was worth my hard work. I am so thankful to all the people who helped me out along the way, my Mom for helping make my pinafore, Joe's mom Sue for taking pics when I couldn't, and my good friends Naura and especially RAE, with out Rae this would have not been the party it was. SHe helped me make 1/2 of the bonnets and then made the other 1/2 by herself when she saw that I was doing to much.  She even made bonnets for my girls dolls.

  
 I tried with the help of the girls and my helpers, to make this as much like the time period as possible even with the decorations. The effect must have been good since the girls (mine) were going around saying it feels like we are in little house on the prairie

     
this is the wagon I made for a game where the kids had to find cards all over the house of what they would need to take in the wagon to head west!!

   

I think the kids got alot out of it.

we played musical chairs  and fruit basket (pics to come later). and my girls and I even were dancing before the guests arrived.

Happy Birthday to who?

Yeah I am not sure if was the age I was turning or just the I have more important things to do attitude I had but I really didn't notice my birthday this year.  Although I was truely suprised and blessed when I reseaved 65 bithday wishes via facebook, 2 emails, 4 text messages, 2 phone calls, 2 packages, 8 cards, 11 presents!!! not bad at all!!! I was truely blessed and to everyone THANK YOU!!! 

so what were the presents you ask? well....

she blessed me with 2 shirt and skirts... which I loved.  also a pattern for me to make my own skirt and thread. YAY!!!

and YHVH blessed me with an early present a new friend, Naura. she is such a joy and when she found out my birthday was the day after we met she blessed me with having us over for dinner and some pretty smelling soaps!!

and last but not least..... Joe and the girls blessed me with a new skirt, a new shirt,  2 new cups (like the one I use all the time) and a spoon rest to go with my kitchen stuff. also they took me to vegas

and now on to VEGAS trip!!

we got up early so that we could get up to the strip before anyone was really out. which worked out great and we took the girls to the belagio hotel and there garden

It was so pretty there we also went to the silverton to see the mermaid.

then we ended the day in bullhead at the lake fishing.

Katie Kat turns 9..... ( part 1)

well this is fustrating I did this post earlier today and for some reason it did not post and it did not save. argg...

Katie's birthday is on April 12 according to an american calandar. but unfortunitly it seems to land very close to passover or durring the week of unleaven bread so Kat has decided that she wants to use the hebrew date for her birthday wich is the last day of ABIB. meaning  we can eat cake and it is no where near Passover. YAY!!! 

so I guess it is time to get this party started .... well in a manner of speaking 

 

Presents

Mike and Sue got Kat a new winter coat as an early birthday present and blue earings. also Mike won a cake at a hospital function and had them make it for Katie. 

 

Mom and Dad, got Katie a Small fry cat, a new dress ( Mom Made) and a dress for Rebecca. 

Grandma's sent money where Kat has spent some of it on a new Zhu Zhu pet that is BLUE. 

 

We got her the following, 4 shirts ( 2 Marie, one cheshire cat, and one blue one) a skirt and headcovering for her and Rebecca a cheshire cat note book and pen, Hello kitty keychain and pencil box, cat necklace, and tiger magnet that she colors and the girls made her a sign. here are those pics
